A lifelong fascination with wildflowers and time spent living on the state's rugged West Coast, and later in the Huon Valley, deepened her connection to the changing landscapes and the remarkable diversity of native and naturalised flora. These experiences continue to shape both the subjects of her paintings and the ideas behind them.
Working primarily in oils, Nicole combines careful observation with a contemporary sensitivity to colour, light and atmosphere.
