Part of my 'Gilded Wildflowers' collection, this work was created during my time living on the West Coast of Tasmania and the flowers I came across. I painted wildflowers(some call weeds) and treated them as if they were roses, and tulips and framed them in gold.
During a small bush walk near a favourite breakfast spot I happened upon these lovely blue flowers. I love coming across blues and purples in nature, feels extra unexpected.
This particular flower is known as "Bluebell creeper' and while native to Western Australia it is a toxic weed in Tasmania.
