While not originally part of the 'Gilded Wildflowers' collection it takes the same inspiration. I paint wildflowers(some call weeds) and treat them as if they were roses, and tulips and frame them in gold. This work was created during my Artist's Residency in Cygnet at Balfour House.
In my younger days I'd only find the occasional buttercup, but I was always thrilled when I did. These days I walk paddocks full of buttercups as far as the eye can see, and I'm still just as thrilled to see their sunny faces.
