Part of my 'Gilded Wildflowers' collection, this work was created during my time living on the West Coast of Tasmania and the flowers I came across. I painted wildflowers(some call weeds) and treated them as if they were roses, and tulips and framed them in gold.
This is the second painting of a 'self healer' flower. The first was a purple, this one is a lovely pink magenta, and I found this flower by the side of the road on the Zeehan Highway when I'd stopped to photograph a different flower.
