The roses in this painting once bloomed in my backyard, a place and time where they brought me quiet joy and a sense of home. Each petal, each unfolding bud, held more than botanical beauty, they marked seasons and cherished moments. Painting them now is a way of reconnecting with that feeling.
But this work is also about manifestation. Having moved on from that place, I paint these roses in the hope that they will bloom again. It is a wish for beauty to return, a gentle act of hope rooted in memory.
