Part of my 'Gilded Wildflowers' collection, this work was created during my time living on the West Coast of Tasmania and the flowers I came across. I painted wildflowers(some call weeds) and treated them as if they were roses, and tulips and framed them in gold.
I found this flower throughout our lawn. They would flower for a couple of days on mass, and then disappear to reappear again and again, but only when the sun was shining. I remember finding these as a child in NSW but not in such quantities.
