Weeds instead of Roses
2025 | oil on canvas | 43×43×5.5cm | dark timber frame
While I appreciate the beauty of roses and tulips, it's the wildflowers—the buttercups, daisies, and dandelions—that truly inspire me. There’s something quietly magical about seeing them thrive in overlooked spaces: pushing through cracks in the concrete, bursting through lawns, blooming without permission or praise.
By placing these “weeds” in a vase, I’m inviting a closer look—elevating the overlooked, and celebrating the quiet resilience of what blooms outside the spotlight. This work is a reminder that the most ordinary things often hold the most extraordinary grace.
